Load Development Question?

New barrel Brake-in is a volitle topic. Many say it does not matter, many say it will take a few hundred rounds. It would not hurt to sight-in and get a baseline of accuracy with high quality factory ammo using the projectile you're interested in. My opinion? Get a baseline with factory ammo and then work up your loads. Using the OCW method you will probably fire 60 rounds or more to find your load.

I second that - Buy a box of very high quality factory ammo, run 20 through it, get your scope zeroed, see what happens. Clean the rifle good. See how easy it cleans. If it cleans easy, start working up loads. I clean after most range sessions for the first 100 rounds or so just because.

So far I've put 30 rounds down range. It did clean easier then I expected. I have a box and 1/2 left I'll put through it and then start my work up (h 1000& 208's).

Thanks guy's.
