Loaded bipod/free recoil

So if I find a good load with a loaded bipod/ free recoil how is that load going to shoot vice versa. Is it going to open up or will POI be different. Just asking out curiosity. Normally develope loaded and some shooting postisions require free recoil while hunting.

Free recoil might have a different definition for you than for me. Free recoil, to me, means that no part of the rifle touches the shoulder either during the release of the shot or during recoil. Not loading a bipod but shouldering the rifle is NOT free recoil.

I always figure 1/2 moa, or between .1-2 mils. Easy way to help figure this is to let a small kid(without instruction) shoot your rifle at distance and then spot impacts. They will not instinctively manhandle the rifle, if it's a magnum, this may not be the best idea.

I am just now getting a hand on the 'free recoil'. and to me i would think the groups should be real close to the same in both size and impact. Since the barrel is or should be freee floated and the loading a bipod just at most bends the forearm not the barrel. It took me about 100 rnds to finailly understand and apply the free recoil and still am in the curve. but impacts 'consistant' happen out to 565 yards so far and about the same number vs bipod. When I tried free recoil, I got slightly tighter groups... but it took so damn long in between shots it just turned out not to work for me compared to traditional style.
