Moved a pistol down the road so I could focus on just one pistol round for inventory purposes...for good or for bad.

Then added a Glock 21 to the shelf for various reasons. I'd like to consider a couple of longer, high capacity magazines. Appears that there are 27 round mags available (45ACP). I'd like the larger magazine for fun, for a larger capacity possibly in home use, and I'd entertain a carbine upper to the Glock lower. Most likely, I'll also add a suppressor to the 21.

Anyway, are there better, larger than stock capacity magazines?

Thanks for your help!

No. It doesn't get better than the factory glock mags and they don't make a .45 yet. Get it for fun but there's a good chance those KCI's will have issues.

We sell quite a few of the SGM Tactical mags. We have used them quite a bit in the G21 and in the Kriss SBR. We haven't had any issues with the ones we've tried.

Thanks for the replies!

My newest Glock is a generation 4. And it has the ambi mag release. The Kriss extension looks pretty intriguing.

Make DAMN sure that mag release works!!!

Mine was broke out of the box, I wasn't the only one either. It was when the ambi SF frames came out, mine was for a 10mm (though the frame is .45 or 10mm, same thing). Mags wouldn't seat well, fell out, eventually the parts themselves fell out. I never even took it to the range, it went right back to Glock. They tried to get me to pay for the shipping, I demanded they do it.

They are fully aware of the problem and will fix it for free and give you whatever you want if you persist a little; otherwise they will try and get you to pay for whatever they can.

That was my 6th Glock, I still own and shoot them all and carry a Glock daily, but I felt a lot better once they sent me an SF frame with a non-ambi mag release. No more problems, it is now a great pistol. So I'm not knocking them in any way, I wouldn't carry anything else but a Smith revolver.

Just a heads up really. If you have any problems at ALL with your mag release, send it back because it gets worse fast and can fail at any moment.

I THINK there is another option to the Kriss Super V mags, but I can't remember for the life of me what it is. I do know you can get Beta mags for Glocks, but I'm pretty sure they are 9mm only.

I can also say if you get ext. 9mm or .40 mags, or really just about any mags, stick with Glock. Scherer makes some, I think they may be the ones that make one for .45 now but I could be wrong, they work okie dokie, but I wouldn't rely on them for anything serious. Fine for the range though.

I've had feeding issues with the mag ext. that go on regular Glock mags. The +2's or whatever? None of the ones I tried worked, and that is saying a lot, to screw up the feeding such that a .45ACP GLOCK won't feed right.
