Looking at getting a KAC SR 25; whats the real difference between the ECR and ER versions?

Been kicking around the 308 AR idea for a while now and keep going back and forth with what I want. All in all, everything I have is KAC and its all been good to me. Think its time for an SR 25 as motivation for me train and get through a 5k and 10k run.

I see that the ER can be had for significantly less than the ECR; but is the rail system, stock and the 'carbon cut' bolt really the only difference? They weigh the same, they are said to have the exact same barrel and twist and everything else is the same. With that said, if this is true and they shoot the same, I could care less about the carbon cut bolt and rail system upgrade.

Just wanted to make sure because if I'm going to go to this point, I didn't want to find out afterwards that the ECR had something magical that made it shoot better.

I believe it is also the full am I lower on the ECR vs ER, unless they have upgraded the ER. Also offset irons and I believe the E3 bolt as well, but I'm not positive.

Did the same comparison a few months ago and bought an ER. The new ER's are exactly the same, ambi lower ect, only difference is the threaded barrel, rail system and butstock. Bolts, barrel and lower are the same. The main difference on the new ER is full ambi lower and bolt which you can tell by the enlarged ejection port.

I had the barrel threaded for $150 and swapped out the stock for a PRS that I had. End of the day, saved more than $1k.

Yeah that's kind of what I was getting at. The extras don't constitute the difference in price to me.

Wanted to be sure there wasn't some sort of gimmick like, the more expensive one had a really good match barrel and the less expensive one had a 'meh' barrel.

Upgrades to the ECR from the ER include:

    URX 3.1 Rail
    Threaded barrel
    Sopmod stock
    45 degree sights
sand cut bolt carrier which I don't thing has been mentioned yet.

I think those add up to more than what the price difference between the rifles is.

For what it's worth, I'm sure they are both great rifles. I bought an ECR when I couldn't find an ECC, and then sold it when co bought an ECC (just prefer a 16" barrel in a gas gun.) Both are/have been fantastic rifles.
