WTB Looking for 223 Trainer (Ruger Precision Rifle 556, custom build, ect)

Looking to see what's out there. Nothing too high end but send me a message anyway on what you might have.

I know the RPR 556 is discontinued, but looking for one you might have. Doesn't matter if it's cratering the primers.

I looked rverywhere for 2 years. Walked into gunshop, one from estste sale, bought on spot. Ordered action wrench, 204 barrel and go no go guages. Use for pdogs. Good luck, they do pop up sporadically

I had looked into converting std to 223. Need bolt, barrel. May want mag adapter, or modify existing mag.

Yea I'm still hopeful. I realize there are other good options, but I love my 6.5 Creed RPR so a 556 would be nice.

The 556 is same action as std, except for bolt (maybe bolt face, havent looked that close) and a 556 cal barrel. The mag is proprietary and mag hw different. Frankly, id just modify one 5 mags std takes and bypass mag hw altogether. Then all you need to convert a a cheap used std rpr is a barrel and bolt/bolt head. The barrels are avail after market and you can get bolt/bolt head from ruger. The 223 will last 5k rounds barrel life. Get a set of go/no guages and you can switch your own rpr bak and forth. Same rifle, scope.

I wonder if Ruger would sell me the whole bolt since it's 1 piece?

i might have a tikka t3 tactical i might sell. been considering it. i had plans for it but will have to curb those plans for now

I have a Howa 1500 in .223 in an Oryx action. Has less than 200 rounds through it. Has an EGW pic rail on it and a Dead Air muzzle brake (have the thread protector for it as well) and original box.

You might be able to order it from them. i do know of RPR owners who had more than one bolt, there was a for sale add at my gunclub for such. It was for std RPR, 6.5cm. If you do go that way please pm me, id be interested in seeing how it went
