Looking for a coyote round

I'll be taking care of a few coyotes my friend is worried about since he has 4 small children.

My question is; what is a good round for the .308 that won't severely over penetrate?

Anything from 22lr to 50bmg is a Coyote round.

.172 threw .257 is what I would go for.

But if your looking for a bullet for the .308. A light Vmax or B-Tip pushed fast will do the trick without over penetration.

+1 for the 110 gr v-max i have had them shoot surprisingly well out of a couple different 308's and they will for sure blow up upon entry and not over penetrate.
