Is Glock the only company making long slide 10mm now, i thought Rock Island made them in the past just don't see them on the web site anymore. Anyway looking for one with a narrow grip single column magazine. Any ideas appreciated.
Get a Lone Wolf 20L slide and match it up with whatever barrel and lower you like. I run the LW 20L on a G21 SF lower and LW Alphawolf 6.61" threaded barrel. That extra 2" of barrel over a 20 means almost 200 fps extra velocity with lighter bullets (165-180 grain) and 150 fps with 200 grain. Another option is just run a longer barrel out of your 20. I have a factory glock 6" barrel that works well on a 20.
Picked up a new S&W M&P10 the other day, 4.6" barrel like the G20. I have a lot of Glocks, their factory triggers don't have much to recommend them. M&P9 4.25" /M&P10 4.6" profiles compared.
I purchased this Delta Elite new in the late '80's, single stack 10 mm, 5" barrel; when the FBI thought they could roll it into their agency to replace 9mm, then there was the Qualification debacle. It's pretty handsome. You can pick up an entry level brushed stainless one on GB for $2K theses days.
Budget is Glock ,Rock Island money looks like i am sol. Anyway looks like i have some options i didn't know about. Just have to think about what i will not miss having next year.
