Hunting & Fishing Looking for a place in Texas to hog hunt.

Hey guys, can anyone recommend me a place where I don't have to have a guide and I don't have a limit on the number of hogs I bag?

Most people I know stay with a friend on private property and shoot there, but the only guy I know who lives in TX at the moment is deployed.


Any help appreciated. This would be for two, for three-four days.

check texashuntingforum.com free to register and you should be able to find someone on there. most ppl would be more than happy to have you come out and shoot pigs. ppl that arent from tx dont realize how much of a problem they are down here

Never hunted there personally but he's 100% solid by all accounts and a heck of a nice guy in person.

Have hunted with them and they hunt close to my lease

While hogs are a problem here, the opportunities of getting a free hunt are very, very, very scarce as Texas in 95% private land and you have to know someone very well to get an invite.

If you don't mind hours of walking there is plenty of hogs on the public hunting lands.
