looking for a rifle case

Re: looking for a rifle case

I currently have a soft case for my 16" AR. Its the MidWay Pro Series Tactical Rifle Case in 35". If i were going to drop a good amount of money on a nice case for my AR broken down I would go the Larue Covert case. If your set on a hard case I believe for the $175 Plano wants you can get a better case for not much more. Maybe look into a smaller case that carries your AR broken down if you like that.

Pelicans are heavy. I use them but would like to have a lighter case for easier carry. I bought mine because I would rate them the best for getting banged around and not worrying about the rifle/scope having any issues. I have not seen a better set up for actual protection.

BEST for airline carry by far...

Re: looking for a rifle case

I have the longer version of the case your looking at. It's a great case (use it for my custom benchrest rifle) although I didn't pay $175 for it. I use soft cases for my ARs.

Re: looking for a rifle case

Natchez had Eagle Discrete bags on sale a few weeks ago for $50.. I snagged a few.. pretty nice. Midway does a decent bag also. Unless you are going to be traveling by plane, really no need for a hard case.
