Looking for AI model comparisons Thread

Ok thanks, but I'm talking about the old generations up to present. AKA how the barrels changed, other options as well. Thanks

I can answer part of your question, kinda of. The AX rifles come into the states without barrels, Win tactical and Mile High Shooting are the two companies that supply barrels. The Win tactical barrels are branded AI (have AI on the barrel) the Mile High Shooting barrels have Mile Highs mark on them. From what I understand, AI has used various vendors to make their barrels in the past.

It's a bit confusing but it doesn't matter which barrel you end up with. I've got the AX308 chambered in 6.5 CM with a barrel made at Mile High Shooting and it is incredibly accurate. I can consistently shoot 5 round groups under 1/2 MOA at 100 yards and I'm a novice. Also, Mile High Shooting is one of the best companies I have ever dealt with as a consumer. Adam Rehor works there and is an AI certified armorer, he is also very helpful if you have any questions.

Thanks for info up to know. Could someone explain all the different features of all the different models. I guess that is what I am looking for. I remember reading a thread about this, must have been on the old scout. I'm considering a used AI and am not familiar with each model. Including I noticed on some ads somebody ask if it is a pre or post 2014 action.

2014 is when AI went to the newer AX style chassis and the actions with the quicklock screw...pre 2014 are the older style chassis+standard action without the quick adjusting buttstock and folders went left...post 2014 have the newer chassis+quicklock action with the skeletonized adjustable stock and the folders go right
