Hi,

I'm a newbie to firearms, but have been bit bad by the bug! I'm looking for a good instructor in the Boulder/Fort Collins area to work one-on-one with me to improve my precision rifle technique.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Trigger Time! They are just up the road in Longmont. I-25 and Hwy 119. It is their range that held the SnipersHide Cup this year. Look em up, Paul and Zac are great guys.

Yes, I know them. They ARE good guys - but the problem is, they only have a 100-yard range there. Their long-range place (the "Ranch") is NOT open to the public. I'm looking for someone who will work with me at someplace such as Great Guns or Pawnee Sportsman's Center, where we could shoot steel at longer distances.

Ideas, guys??

I teach the Precision Rifle classes at Trigger Time, we have a 4 day (3.5 time wise) on the 14th, it's 4 hours in Longmont and 3 days at the ranch. Targets are out to 1150, as well my In Motion Mover is used. We also do a monthly class which is just a Saturday and Sunday, with all day Sunday talking place at the ranch. Lots of people have taken advantage of this, the classes are always full.

These are two very good options unless you are looking for someone to help for free.

OK, tell me more about the monthly classes. Don't see anything about these on the TTGC website.

It's on the T3Main.com site.

We do Saturday at TTGC, it's very little (10 rounds) shooting, it's a PowerPoint lesson for most of the day, with some dry demo. We do Q&A, chronographing, and ballistic numbers for everyone. I do an eval first thing in the AM to identify issues.

Sunday is all day at the range, check zero, fix problems, then shoot out to 1K in a dope gathering KD fashion. After that we have about 30 UKD targets scattered around out to 1150. Most shoot between 100 to 200 rounds on Sunday.

The 3.5 day ( which the next one is Aug 14th) is a more complete class. 4 hour PowerPoint to get everyone on the same page. Then 3 days on the range, we do a mix of everything you'll see, KD to 1K, movers, UKD, alternate positions, slings, etc.

both classes have myself, Zach and Paul on the line helping, with 10 to 12 students or less. Each guy handles 3 to 4 students. We feed you lunch, and have a very open policy to address individual questions and concerns.

I don't know when the next 2 day is, they usually schedule it and I just show up when needed. :)

Sorry, not finding this as a monthly option.

So still looking for someone to do one-on-one's with me ... LOL...

You must not be looking too hard, it's on their site

T3 Precision Rifle Course - T3 Firearms Training

when the next class is announced it will be available for purchase, they don't schedule them to far in advance because of availability, a simple call will tell you as Zach will say when the next is planned. But we won't have a 2 day and 4 day in the same month. They stagger
