Guys,
I am going to make a purchase within a couple of weeks and I am undecided as to which scope to get.I am looking at either the Nightforce F1,S&B PMII,and the Premier Heritage. Could any of you with extensive experience with these chime in. I know all of the info is out there on all of these, but I don't have time to wade through the 100's of posts to get it.

Re: Looking for new glass, need help deciding

so whats your:
Budget
Range
Rifle
Mil/Mil preference or MOA
Type of reticle
features you want

this is a very open ended question that is a crap shoot. All three are great scopes, cant go wrong with any of them
Ive used all three extensively and the one that sits atop my rifle now is a NF F1

Re: Looking for new glass, need help deciding

Budget is $3500 or less.
Will be going on a .308 model 700 shooting from 100 to 1000 yards.
Must be FFP with Mil/Mil adjustments
Zero stop would be a nice feature, but not absolutely necessary

Re: Looking for new glass, need help deciding

so take your pick they are all good....im not a fan of SB but most here will cry wolf, if you would like to know why im not a fan please keep it in PMs as i dont want to start a fan boy bitch fest. Personally if i were you, id wait till after shot show and see what comes to the market. Might be worth it

Wombat,

Funny you should ask: I'm looking for a snaggle-tooth Arkansas redneck woman to get as a bed warmer, deer skinner, fish monger, and cook. I been looking at Blonde's, Brunette's and Redhead's. Since you live there, and should have extensive experience with these things. I don't have the time to wade through hundreds of "E-Redneck Brides for Sale or Hire" ads and such.

So let's make a deal. You send me a blank signed check, and some suitable bride photo's and contacts, and I'll send you back a good rifle scope!!!! Do we have a deal????

Probably not, because my request is silly. But you feel all warm and fuzzy planning to spend more than $2k on a scope without any research on your own.

I'm sorry sir, but your lack of any intellectual curiosity is simply staggering.

Have a Holly, Jolly Christmas, y'all.......

Bob, I highly recommend going for the toothless variety.
Less scraping, if you get my drift.
Don't forget to get an ample supply of discarded t-shirts with numerous holes, cigarette burn marks and coffee stains.

There is really something hot about a woman that can hold a child while breast feeding from a teat sagging to her bellybutton, drink a beer and smoke a lucky strike all at the same time.

By the way, I've spent quite a bit of time in the Carolinas. What's wrong with your redneck trailer trash women? Or do you just fancy imports?

Re: Looking for new glass, need help deciding

Have used all mentioned except the Hendsolt. Would chose either a NF F1, which my rifles wear now, or an S&B.

Not to long if you buy it from me

I may have a BRAND NEW/NEVER INSTALLED 3.2-17X44 MPR Reticle,Erek mil/mil,Red Illum, for sale very soon.

Re: Looking for new glass, need help deciding

It seems to me that you need to decide about whether you want max magnification with more weight and length or less mag with less weight.

I'll say this...the NF 3-15,F1 is just the right size and weight for me with it's 30mm tube but I'd rather have more mag and am exited to see what NF comes up with for 2010.

+1 for this. I just purchased the Razor HD from Scott because it had everything that I was looking for, a fantastic warranty, and Lowlight's review/torture test sealed the deal for me. I also had the opportunity to talk back and forth with Sam at Vortex, and he was extremely helpful. I have rarely seen the amount of dedication and customer support from anyone in any industry.

Scott and vortex make a great team, and I can't wait to get the scope in hand.
