Check out avenal gun range. Guys have a match once a month and are cool peeps. I have shot with them several times.
I checked out the site and it says they are a members only range, could not find any infor on how to join. Are the matches private as well? In CA lookin for a place to shoot past 400yds.
It is a private range but they have public shoot once a month. It should be published
Outstanding, thank you for the info. I look forward to being able to compete soon. Lately I have been focusing my energy into USPSA.
If you want to find shooter friends then you should escape the Eastern, excuse me, Western Bloc states ASAP.

FYI -- our next matches are December 15 and 16th. If you come to one of our matches you do not need to be a member. You can usually show up for the NRL22 and shoot long range before the match.

There is a group that meets in Taft that shoots 400-1mile. We are shooting this Sunday, which will be my first trip out as well. if you are interested PM me. There are a couple of us here in Kingsburg.
You might want to check out this thread.. we are there at least once a month.
