looking for some starting load data for 22-250 in a 26 inch barrel

There is the "old standby" of 38.0g of H380 but I could never get mine to shoot it better than around .75" at 100, and 1.5-2" at 200 yds. I tried the Nosler load data of 37.0g and settled on 37.1g with 55g Varmageddon tipped bullets.

Mine prefers the 55gr's over the 53's. I was so intent on using the 53's and tried numerous powders, etc., finally just tried the 50 & 55gr bullets out of frustration, and they shot much better, so that's what I'm going forward with. LOL

H380 for the majority. Have tried AR Comp and RL 15 with decent results, but my gun just don't like the 53's. I plan on trying the ARC and RL15 with the 50 &55's soon.

In my 1:12 with a slightly shorter barrel with the 55 grain bullet I tested Varget, 4064 and Benchmark & 8208. Around 35-36 grains worked great for Varget, 4064 and 8208. Benchmark was around 33 grains. I couldnt get the 53 vmax to shoot as well as the 55's but the 50 max was the most accurate

half moa at 100 yards ?
yes, below is the first group with this load at 100. That is a 1 inch dot, 3 shot group. I was new to reloading at the time and was only doing 3 shot groups. I have shot it out to 400 and remains very accurate, just never shot it on paper at that range.

Rifle is factory Savage 12 FCV
