Until mostly Lincoln then FDR they were. The power of the people is through our representatives. The Executive was more of a figurehead for dealing with foreign dignitaries and the commander in chief. Ive been saying for years Congress needs to re-exert their power for the people to take this country back. So many end runs around the Constitution via agencies creating regulations (not laws voted on by Congress), executive orders, etc. Yes its opposite day if I agree with Pelosi on something. Very occasionaly the Dems understand our form of government enough to pay lip service to it when its to their advantage.

I feel the same way that Congress has let its power go but it does so selectively and always at the expense of the people.
During the Obama era he got away with increasing the executive power at the expense of Congress and it was always "But we are equal, we cant do anything about this".
Now we have a President trying to work for the people and its "Congress has to strip him of power and we will".
Granted the first was from the Republicans that do nothing anyway and the second is from the Dems, Whom it is good to hate their policies but you cant help but respect their ability in sticking together and forcing their Communism through.
Congress has abrogated its power by allowing the formation of alphabet agencies to do what it is Congress job to do - make law and regulate.
Congress has evaded their responsibilities.
As a result most of the alphabet agencies are under control of the executive.

I think Nadler is an idiot but I’m not sure why anyone would say the report exonerates the administration. In fact it refers to over twenty ongoing cases and there are already several convictions. The ongoing cases are a major reason for the redactions. In the case of several of the meetings with Russians the report details that the only reason charges weren’t filed is that it would be difficult to prove the US actors knew that what they were doing was in fact illegal.

I don't think anyone here is afraid of a full, completely unredacted report. If Trump has committed any crimes, then he should be held accountable, like everyone else should be.
Personally, I don't like the guy. But we have to follow due process. He is innocent until proven guilty - that is how the justice system is supposed to work. In order to have a conviction they must have evidence beyond a reasonable doubt.
Hate him or like him, we have to respect the justice system and due process. The fact of the matter is, they cannot prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he is guilty of any crimes.
Unfortunately, it seems like the Democrats have no respect for the justice system, and have no care to provide him with the rights he has as a citizen of the US to be innocent until proven guilty. The Democrats are setting a very dangerous precedent with the games they are playing. This is not how this country is supposed to operate.

Our border is not secure and will soon prove to be a huge mistake.
Most reasonable adults already see this but our nonfunctioning Congress can't cut the hatred long enough to deal with it.
I feel an event will soon occur that will gain enough support that president Trump will have to enact emergency powers for the border.
Personally I believe the criteria has already met my expectations.
