Hell,they are offering "Top Dollar" after all ? At $100 a gun,the gangbangers ought to be beating down the door to turn them in !!

My Favorite was the video of the "Buy Back" in Detroit where the Good Ol' Boys hid around the corner and bought them before they could reach the programs doors.Capitalism at it's finest !! Course,the Cops were really pissed when they caught on.....

You almost make it sound like this was forced upon them. Silly idea which mainly takes legal guns out of the hands of law abiding people but who's dumber in this case? They city of Los Angeles or its citizens who volunteered for this?

I have no idea what LA does with the guns, but where I'm from the police departments usually auction off guns a couple times a year they have seized/confiscated etc.

Sounds like a pretty sweet money maker for them buying at $100/200 a pop, especially if they sell them now in the panic market. Might be the answer to the their budget shortfall
