Lot of space alien hype

If anyone is looking for a UFO/Area 51 rabbit hole to fall in check out David Adair. I don't put too much stock in this shit like I said, but he's said some pretty interesting shit and is seemingly well above average intelligence. The basis for his story seems to be true, though like anything in this rabbit hole it's a bit too fantastic to swallow. I haven't found any glaring contradictions in his speeches and he tends to not really go with the flow of the entirety of the UFO community's narrative, sometimes much to their chagrin. Still could be 100% bullshit, but it's cool sci-fi at the least.

I do not find it completely out of the relm of possibility that aliens have visited "us" before...and may perhaps visit again.

Taken in a pure mathematical sense, it is extremely improbable that life doesnt exist...and thrive elsewhere in the universe.

I find ancient cultures quite fascinating and while certainly not an expert...there are commonalities in these ancient cultures acknowleding or alluding to the presence of aliens...or at minimum people who possessed far advanced technology.

On the topic of aliens being friend or foe...

While there are endless possibilities...

One factor is if the aliens are far enough advanced to have solved their largest problems through use of technology.

This would alleviate the need to conquer less advanced civilizations to simply secure capital/resources or the means of production. This has never been the case in human history, where one may try to draw an apt comparison...there simply is no comparison available in human history.

We often think and marvel in how advanced humans have become...and this is relatively true, we have only scratched the surface...

Just look at quantum and reality based studies to see how much further things can and will go...

Someday...who knows...

Salty, I dont really see that humans have advanced much at all. A bit of technology? Sure. Thats not how I evaluate maturity. We're still killing each other en masse. In fact we're better at ti than anytime in recorded history. That actually seems like regression.

Moral advancement and technological advancement are not the same but are related...

You can look at medical advancements, advancement in communications, engineering disciplines ect. But this is different than describing the merit of such or the underlying moral advancement of our civiliazation as a whole.

Because even with all the aforementioned advancement we have yet to crack the code on the most pressing issues of civilization. Either, by design...those who wish to force an idealogy, or by simply not yet having the capability. Or some combinations of both.

This means we are still bound by constraints in resources and production. And control of the current state is power.

And to quote "power is what man craves above all else" :)

I believe it IS possible to get past this hurdle...but it is also possible we destroy each other before ever reaching full potential.

When you figure in 'human nature' I see the Apocalypse of John as nearly unavoidable...and perhaps not far off.

We have strayed a bit off topic. In order to stay within the spirit of forum rules...I will just say this.

I believe in free will and that free will is a double-edged sword.

I'll make a prediction.
"They" are gonna show themselves.
They will have a blueprint for us to follow. We will have a leader or they will give us one, who will implement this plan. This plan will kill millions in the name of peace.
There will be a lot incredible upheaval in the earth at that time, earthquakes, plagues, even an asteroid strike. The visitors will convince most, that billions of deaths are necessary.
This leader guy will be a hum dinger, he will raise the dead. He will be mortally wounded and not die.

Jeez...you'd think you guys had never listened to coast to coast on late night radio.

Oh, I am well aware...and around here you dont need to listen to late night radio to get the message...plenty of the same during the day.

It amazes me how many people believe in an alien race of reptilian creatures, but those same people, find it hard to believe there was an archangel named Lucifer, that sought to overthrow God's kingdom, who was himself turned into a serpent and can STILL appear as an angel of light. Who was also seen falling to earth as lightning.

Yes let us throw away the historical manuscript our forefathers wrote and handed down in lieu of Star Trek.

Reality doesn't take kindly to those that have little reverence for heritage or inheritance.

When dealing with "Aliens", it's a pretty safe bet to think they may not show up openly for the "benefit" of the local lesser developed native species of a planet.

I'm not really buying the whole travelers flitting about looking for unevolved types they can help just to "be nice".
You make that kind of trip, you are coming for something you want....

To the Aztecs, Cortez was an alien (actually a God).

Look how that worked out.

It amazes me how so many people have time to pander to any of that. Im busy enough keeping my own nose on the narrow path(s)...the 2nd commandment and the 2nd amendment.
