I just took a low-light pistol class last week.
The standard drills are important because without practice you'll find yourself focusing on the center of the light rather than the front sight.
Other than that, what I thought was valuable was engaging three or four silhouettes while moving left/right or right/left. Things to focus on are walking a straight line, because you can't really see where you're going. It is also good practice to see how the threats come into and out of the light as you're moving. And of course it is good practice at remembering to return the light back to the previously engaged threat when the shooting as stopped (assessing)
Lastly, consider practicing the several different handheld techniques. The one I learned that I liked was to press the handheld against my support side cheek with my support side hand. In this way, my sights were well illuminated, and the light followed my head position the entire time.
