Well I did it, I ordered a LRB Arms M1A today. I've had a few SA's and although I never had any problems, I always wanted an older one but they never popped up. I wanted to get one with USGI parts and a forged receiver, so I ordered up the M25 Tanker which is equivalent to the Scout with a scope base built into the receiver.

Thought I'd post this as the girl I spoke with didn't know anything about the Hide. They have receivers in stock and I was told it'd only be a couple weeks before the rifle was built. They're not cheap but try to find a Springfield Armory Scout on Gunbroker for less than $1600 up. On top of that, it's an American company.

Normally there's a wait on these as they don't always have the forged receivers so though I'd pass it on that they have most in stock.

I started to do a LRB myself but got a nib scout for 1200 bucks i couldn't pass that up. I slapped it in a EBR chassis and started upgrading from there part by part. I have read nothing but Great things from LRB and they were very helpful over the phone when i spoke with them. Congrats on your soon to be new Rifle.
