With the sale of the revic BLR10b binos, I am heavy rethinking my separate bino and RF combo I currently have. I was already planning to upgrade from the Athlon Cronus and sig Kilo 3k rangefinder I have to better glass, but the revic peaks the interest at $1700.

I’ve heard the argument from several others that it’s nice to have the two separate so you can upgrade glass and RF separately as tech changes or glass quality increases. Is this really something people do anymore or has pretty much everyone switched over to a combo set? Anyone make the switch and regret it one way or the other? Also, any thoughts on the revics would be greatly appreciated. I hunt in the southeast and have a couple bigger out west hunts booked for next year. Just curious if the juice is worth the squeeze.

Archery hunting, separate. No way I'm grabbing binos out to range. Rifle hunting it's nice to use one but I'm going to go against the popular vote and keep them separated again. I don't always use the same binos pending what state and terrain I'm hunting. Using swaro 8x, 10x 12x and 15x binos and they all have there place. Yes there is some overlap here. So just depends what I'm taking and type of hunting I keep the LRF in the kuiu LRF pouch on my bino harness. Silent, easy, can let it hang if needed. I personally won't go back to a LRF bino while hunting.

Interesting take and something I can get behind. Thanks for the input.

I really like my swaro EL ranges for glassing in the field with the glass quality but there is a huge advantage to having a ballistic solver built into the binos for any type of competition shooting. I've been debating on new LRFB myself and was stuck between the Revics and the gen 2 sig 10ks but with the sale on the Revics that's a very compelling deal. if you shoot comps especially NRLH style matchs go for the all in 1s. If not then prioritize glass quality IMO.
