Rifle Scopes LRTS 4.5-18 windage knob measurements.

I have an SWFA 3-9 on my Tikka hunting rifle at the moment. It’s a T3 and the brass is bouncing off the windage turret and going back in the chamber. I made a knob out of a rubber chair foot protector and that works, but I don’t love the mod. I’m using Sportsmatch rings which sit very low, so that’s likely the issue.
All that being said, I couldn’t resist the sale Doug is having on the LRTS 4.5-18. So I bought one this am.
Can someone measure the windage knob for me and let me know how far it sticks out from the scope tube? I’m hoping it protrudes a little less, otherwise I may have to go back to a rail and ring combo to gain a bit of height.

Or you might try grinding a tiny bit off the top of the extractor so it catches more on the bottom and flips out more horizontally?

Are those the T084 with the LRTS? Seems to sit a fair bit higher than the ones I have with my current 3-9. I heard the issue is more common with LA calibers, which mine is.
Did you like the LRTS over the 3-9? I don’t dislike the 3-9, but like the specs on the LRTS so excited to test it out.

I like to think I’m pretty handy and don’t mind tinkering with things, but I have no idea where to begin with attempting that. Seems like chances of me f’ing it up are high.

Yeah same rings
I absolutely love that scope but found it to unbalance the Tikka too much
It is now on my slightly heavier 260
My Tikkas are short calibres so that may be the difference

Still hit. Ordered a rail and mounting it in a pair of Seekins lows. We’ll see if that works. Rail gets here Monday.
