You of all people. You act like the LSU Bama rematch is some grass roots back room whispers. The rematch is being heralded by every sportscaster, announcer, and analyst in the country. Everyone except LSU fans knows Bama was the Bette team on the field the first time around. They lost, got it. But whether you like it or not the NC is not based on record alone. The two best teams in the country plays for the NC. The two best teams in the country are LSU and Bama. Therefore they should play for the NC.

And i love how you cite insignificant and irrelevant statistics that don't mean squat. Let's look at ALL the statistics and youll be embarrassed

I know what the overall stats are Mike, I have followed Alabama longer than you have by default, lol. They were merely mentioned as current reference. And I for one have no doubt about the quality of Alabama's football program, nor do I have any doubt they are the No 2 team in the nation.

I have no fear whatsoever playing them again nor do I really care whom the BCS chooses to play against us in that game.

The one thing that I am sure of is that LSU is in it, and deservedly so.

As in the past when other team besides LSU were involved I have believed the SEC championship is a waste of time, but a revenue producer. So be it, we have to participate.

In the big scheme of things it matters not.

Anyone here thinking this trash-talk between dearest of friends is em-battling don't read anything into it as this is the spirit of college football that makes it fun!!

So bring on the trash!!! LOL

I don't think it's unfair at all, it's part of the requirements. It is what it is. My only issue is when has this game REALLY determined the TRUE SEC champion.

It's really rare that the 2 best teams in college football are not only in the SEC, but in the same division of the SEC, some would argue that the 3 best teams are in the SEC West.

Although I like to rag my Bama bros, I truly believe that the 2 best teams in College football should play each other period. It doesn't always happen but it should this year.

Looks like Richardson might have sealed the deal for the Heisman. Career high of over 200yds. What a great running back he is. And I'm all about great Bama running backs. Got a lot of money riding on Mark Ingram!!

I definitely didn't hear any LSU fans complaining about having to "claim" a NC after a 2 loss season in 07.

But I definitely don't see the huge difference in the current situation at hand and having to play an SEC East team twice in one year(regular season and SEC championship) and losing one and winning one.

And lastly no Pac 10 or Big 10 team has ever had to play in a conference championship before going to the NC and I sure don't remember people busting their balls for it.

Fact is they are the two best teams LSU, being number one, and deserve to play for it. I doubt Georgia will be much of a challenge.

Richardson won't get the Heisman.... There's no way they'll give the SEC that much respect (three years in a row).

I will say this though, they have no real leg to stand on if they don't vote Bama to to play LSU...

I think Bama has what it takes to beat LSU, but if I had to ride money on it, I'd put it on LSU, as much as I want Bama to win.

I wanted Bama to win the first time, and now I have 100% changed my mind after sitting through the iron bowl.

I am definitely rooting for the tigers next time (lol just my luck Bama will win)

They might have whopped auburn this year, but our defense performed much better then expected to never have been given any rest from our offense.

The way LSU handled Arkasas, Bama had better get ready.. is all I can say. From what I saw today against Auburn, they will not beat this LSU team.


Im just glad they didnt get to roll the tree like they so badly wanted to.

Smelly gave auburn more of a problem then Richardson ever did. That #17 gave us hell.

You're just pissed that Auburn got spanked, unlike last year....

LSU still needs to get past Georgia and they are looking pretty solid right now. It would be a good rematch and I would be excited to watch it.

I used to be an LSU fan, but this team/coach has really turned me off. The way they act on the field is embarassing. With the likes of "Honey Badger" and a coach that can't control the thugs, LSU now stands for "Low-class State University."

I would definately pull for Bama in a rematch.

I never expected to beat Bama. We were 7/4 going into the game and ranked a generous #24 against the undisputed #2 in the nation. Sure we hoped for the best, but expecting what happened. It was not a real shocker for anyone. I just hate the "Spit-in-your-face" attitude, but again knowing the tide fans.. nothing I didnt expect from them. I will say that it was nice to see our bands playing together for the first time in history playing Amazing Grace for the Tornado Victims. Just hate that all that flew right out the window as soon as the band marched off the field.

It was funny that they started chanting LSU at the very end. I hope they get every bit of whats coming to them.. Playing LSU at home for the BCS title. Good luck.

Your holier than thou attitude about the Bama fans not only reeks of bias but shows you want to point out the sliver in your brothers eye while ignoring the log in your own. Auburn fans are just as bad when it comes to taunting the Bama fans so stop acting like Bama fans walked in and ruined your Sunday social. I guarantee if Auburn won there would have been a lot of "in your face" taunts.

Bama whipped ass, held your offense to zero points and is now getting ready to go on safari. Our next tiger hunt will give us two trophies. Anyone know a good taxidermist in Birmingham?

Richardson ran for over 200 yards, I would say he gave auburn more than they could handle. As for the Auburn's defense I thought Alabama moved the ball whenever they wanted to, once Saban gets a good lead he will sit on it and become very conservative. Auburn just couldn't stop Alabama's conservative run plays, Richardson was pushing the pile an extra 3-5 yards.

The margin of victory was exactly the same in the Arkansas/Alabama game as it was in the LSU/Arkansas game so that is a wash like a lot of things when you compare LSU and Alabama. I was not at the game and cannot speak to how Alabama's fans acted, but I have seen auburn fans act pretty poorly. Their are bad fans for each school and I hope the Alabama fans weren't complete idiots.

I distinctly remember Auburn's band playing Alabama's Rammer Jammer, which means that had to spend time practicing it, after they won in Ttown last year. It happens. Its called a RIVALRY. Get over it.

Dag, Like I've said before, I can live with my nieghbors flying their Purple and Gold all year. And IF we get a second shot at LSwho...BRING IT BRO! I know that if Bama doesn't get a second shot that there is no team in the country that can beat LSU besides Bama and I can't sit back an smile with BAMA 42 cow college on the plains(auburn) 14. RTR!

Implying that winning the NC championship game does not mean that you are the NC.

Maybe the stretch of my point was Kansas was left out as a 1 loss team and Hawaii was undefeated before the bowls in 07, yet 2 loss LSU got to go to the game, which I do agree with that. Maybe that makes sense lol

Sore loser? If the tables were turned and Auburn was playing LSU would you be singing praises for Bama or still on your high horse that Auburn fans are perfect during game day? You all lost, and are having a bad season. It happens! Shit our football team is HORRIBLE but we just beat TN for the first time in 26 years, its like we won the national title.

I didnt know that. Maybe it was the first time at AU. I was told this by the Bama fan sitting next to me at the game.

I am trying to be unbiased as possible. I even have family member that pull for Alabama and I was there at the last 4 iron bowls. If you remember I was actually pulling for them against LSU, but forget it... Never again.

Its college football... Of course there is going to be bias for ones hometown and college. Bama and LSU fans are the worst. I can say that after living in Auburn for 33 years. Hell even the foreign professors that teach on campus know this and they dont even know the first thing about football.


Oh but I am all for the rematch. It should be one hell of a good game.

Ben, I know you live in Auburn and graduated Auburn and you're blatantly bias. I can respect you for that. But I've got to say this, your implication about rabid (my words) fans being exclusive to Alabama makes me ROFLMAO. You act as if Auburn fans never run their mouths, never say anything nasty, never do anything to be provocative; it's hilarious. Auburn fans are JUST AS BAD as Alabama fans. The problem is Auburn is on the losing end this time and every Auburn fan is all butt hurt because not only did AU get beat, but got their ass handed to them. But I guarantee if you if we look back at last year's come-back AU victory, there were AMPLE AU fans running their mouths and making asses of themselves. And it surprises me the actions of the fans comes as a "shock" to you. You've been to four Iron Bowls, the most heated rivalry in college sports, you KNOW what to expect as do UA fans. It's part of the culture and life here in Alabama.

So be a fan and root for or against whomever you choose but please stow the "we've never been so insulted" attitude. It's completely transparent and fake.

I agree that we (Alabama) have some obnoxious fans but the 1st most obnoxious fans in the SEC are Tennessee fans followed closly by them War Beagles. As I say that I still pull for AU when they are playing anyone except Alabama. I pull for all our State teams. To me that is a true Alabamian. I can't wait for the rematch against LSU.

The first goal for LSU must be to win the SEC championship. That's something Bama does not have the option to do now. Since there is no guarantee either team will beat the other, the SEC championship is job 1. I don't think Georgia can pull the big upset but it's a big game. The first meeting of LSU and Bamma was like the game of the century. What will it be like for them to have a rematch for the national championship game. Like a heavy weight fight rematch.

I heard that on the radio the other day and thought it was a joke but the radio host insisted it wasn't. That might make a few teams drop Malzahn off of there short list for head coach.
