i just bought a RRA 16" predator pursuit for hunting and plinking. the scope thats going on it will have a 40-50mm objective (havent bought it yet). which mount should i get? i know the 158 has some cant built into it and it a little lower profile which i like. i thought i read somewhere that the 158 was geared more towards ar10's though. will the 158 clear a 50mm objective with butler creek caps? can BUIS fit under the 158?

thanks

The 158 is marginally lower than the 104, by about 0.08", with 10 MOA of elevation. Any scope will clear the rail with that mount.

Re: LT-104 vs. LT-158

i guess the easiest thing for me to do is get my scope, then take the scope and the gun into the larue store on the way to the ranch and buy whatever i think suits me best. does the larue store have a storefront that i can go in and shop?

Re: LT-104 vs. LT-158

whoever i just talked to at larue was really helpful.

fyi: the 104 and 158 are actually the exact same mount, the 158 just has the cant built in, giving you the difference in centerline measurements. this cant may not be needed depending on your application and what scope you will be using.

also, they do not have a storefront, but if you place an order over the phone, you can walk in to the front office and pick it up there.
