Can't really decide. I've owned a T-1 before and found myself not using it that much, doesn't help that i have an astigmatism either, though that dot was huge. I would lean toward a 1-4 and call it a day but can't find a a proper reticle to use. There seems to be no 1-4 or 1-6 with 1/2 mil holds. So i keep coming back to an EOtech XPS2 the 300blk model with the BDC. It's for 300yds and in. Am i missing an LVPO that i'd be more interested in? The EOtech vudu 1-6 and PST Gen II 1-6 came to mind but i thought it might be too much optic for an 8.3" pistol.

If you are using a brace, get the leupold 1.5-5 ffp with the BLK reticle. Easy to hit steel with subs out to 300+

Man that scope would be perfect if it were 1x. Looking for true 1x also. I might ask the Leupold Rep if they have plans on a 1-5 mark 5.

Are they still making that particular leupold?

It's discontinued. A lot of people didn't like it or thought it was too expensive

I love mine. It's not perfect. But plenty doable. It will never happen but a NX8 with the leupold blackout reticle would be a dream come true.

Trijicon MRO. I run 300blk and really for the most part the MRO did a great job and was tough, little, and light.
I was looking at this today. Just dunno how i would like it with my astigmatism. I looked an EOtech today and it was fuzzy. Usable but fuzzy. Keep going back to the burris but wondering if i really need all that scope for such a small gun that's only intended use is 300yds and in.

I battle this myself. I currently have a K16i on a Noveske 300blk SBR and an Aimpoint on a franken 300blk sbr.

    I've tried lots of combinations:
EoTech: I couldn't live with how fuzzy the Eotech was (I have a bad astigmatism also). The Aimpoint is actually better because I can turn the intensity down.

Primary Arms ACSS 1-6 300blk reticle: If i could get this reticle in a GOOD optic i would DIE. The thought of having this reticle in something as bright and wonderful as the K16i gives me palpitations. It's a really good ret for 300blk but the 1-6 is a sack of shit optically. (expected because it's 300 dollars and I am used to K16i/short dot/ etc)

EoTech with mag: never again. yuck.

Acog with their 300blk ret: I love ACOGs for a multitude of reasons but this one just didn't work for me the way I wanted it to. I would love if Primary Arms put their 300 ret into an acog the way they did with their 5.56 ret. I have that and it is superb.

I've finally settled that there doesn't seem to be a perfect answer for me on a 300.

Perfect would be the ACSS reticle or similar in a GOOD optic, or a dual red dot that can be independently zeroed, maybe.

Is that the 300blk specific reticle? 1.5x doesn't bother you indoors or shooting close?

No it's the 5.56 version but runs great. I love the CM-R2 reticle. Fast and accurate hits from 3' out to distance m. I have zero issues at close distances. complete opposite

A at close distances just put the big circle on your target.

The reticle is not perfect but it serves it's purpose very well. With Hornady 125s zeroed dead on, I just hold the bottom of the plate with Remington subsonics and its hits all day long to at least 300 yards.

Seems they don't make that Mark 4 anymore. Though i keep coming back to the burris. Should be able to get it around $700. Illumination supposedly is very bright. Reticle has 1/2 Mil subtensions so i should be able to hold pretty much on point according to JBM. Hell i guess i'm going to get that one for both the 11.5" 5.56 and the 300blk.
