I have found limited information on the new upcoming LWRC SPR rifle and wanted to ask if anyone has more in depth photos or information.

I was comparing the SPR to a Noveske Recon w/VIS rails. Before anyone gets up on the soapbox, I realize they are different gas systems, however I am debating on which should be my next AR-15.

Again, I know I am comparing a pear to an apple, however I need to decide which one to get first

I'm interested to hear what anyone has to offer regarding each of these rifles or why I should choose one over the other.

Purpose: varied distance shooting, heavy round counts (1-3K a month) and potentially dub as my 3 gun AR. Once I get around to doing 3 gun matches that is...

Re: LWRC M6 SPR Rifle

The LWRC forum will have quite a bit of info. The LWRC management gets on from time to time and answers questions. Matt at NWT is a stocking dealer and will be getting some of the first SPR's. They are great to deal with. Give them a call and he will answer all your questions. I will say that I love my M6A3 and love LWRC. The customer service is excellent and the product is even better. Oh, and gotta love that spiral fluted barrel on the SPR!

Re: LWRC M6 SPR Rifle

I've had Noveske rifles and love them. I shoot suppressed, so everything gets dirty - the only difference for me is that in a DI gun the gunk is baked onto everything. On my LWRC M6A3, it's just grungy and wipes right off. I love the precision and quality of Noveske rifles, but I can have the same level of quality with LWRC AND have vastly easier maintenance. My SPR Mod 0 should be at my dealer a week from tomorrow. I ordered mine from Matt and Marcy at Northwest Tactical, as mentioned above. I will be using it at the Larue Multigun at BOTW in Liberty Hill, Texas starting April 14. Nothing like running and gunning with a completely unfamiliar rifle, trigger, and optic!

Can't wait. I've had nothing but good experiences with LWRCI and Noveske, but for ease of cleaning and peace of mind with..well...nearly never cleaning, I have gone with LWRCI. I reserve the right to own more Noveske as soon as I can afford to do it....which will be AFTER I save up for a REPR next!

Re: LWRC M6 SPR Rifle

I'm a fan of both (owned both at one time) but I've stuck with LWRC for awhile now. The piston system is a well laid out system that works very well. Both rifles noted above pay close attention to the details that the end user looks for (i.e quality of build and components used) and both have great CS. I will say a Noveske has a better name for barrels (as most shooters know this) but I could not get my M6A2 or A3 to die... chews up anything I feed it and cleans up fast (as chainring noted above). can't go wrong with either of the 2 but if you've never had a piston gun... LWRC is at the top of the food chain.

Best of luck bud

Re: LWRC M6 SPR Rifle

I love my LWRC, however, I believe the only advantage with a piston is if you intend on shooting suppressed it will stay a bit cleaner. In my opinion, there is no other advantage to the extra 500 to a grand one pays for a piston. I had money to burn so I forked over the 2200 for an M6A2. My other ARs are DIs and my only other pistons are Fuller AKs. Make no mistake both Noveske and LWRC make quality firearms and I am sure you will be happy with either.

On another note, Noveske doubles the thickness of its chrome lining, but LWRC treats theirs with Nickel Boron.

Good Luck.
