both are good ,i like to know the pro's and con's of both 308 types thxs a side note any body know the thread pitch of the pof 308 is it 5/8-24 as well? thxs

Re: lwrc vs, pof ? please dont flame this thxs

POF P-308 thread pitch is standard 5/8x24...I can confirm that from my own rifle...nothing but positive feedback to offer you on the POF from my experiences.

As for the rest...run a search. There are tons of threads about the POF and LWRC floating around here, ARFCOM, etc., etc., without rehashing it all in another this vs. that thread.

My P-308 20" SPR runs the LR-20 PMAGs with 100% reliability with every kind of ammo I have tried (M118LR, 175gr BH, 168gr BH and FGMM and my reloads). I know several people who have indicated that their rifles were unreliable with DPMS, C-Productions, and even KAC mags, but with the PMAGS they are smooth as glass.

+1. Sub .75" for 5 shots with my 20" POF. 5/8-24 is the pitch.

Re: lwrc vs, pof ? please dont flame this thxs

I got a REPR and couldn't be happier... No mag issues and great accuracy with 168 gr AMAX's. I love the fact that I can shoot it like a bolt (gas port turned to "C" for closed) and "N" (for normal) for everything else. I threw a IOR SH edition with mids and hit consistantly out to 800m. I won't say anything bad about POF... yet another fine rifle. I went with the REPR for the side charging handle (which is great when shooting single shots) and the fit and finish is oh so great.

well i have now repr 16'' i was looking for a 18'' - i will ask a 16'' barrel is ok for 600 yards if i do my part plus the ammo now if you shot over this point the groups will open up but how much per 100 yds ? it has the vortex flashhider too

Re: lwrc vs, pof ? please dont flame this thxs

I have owned a POF and trying to get funds to get a REPR. I agree with M24 on the side charging handle. It is great to have the option of doing a single shot along with semi auto. Also I don't like how the POF's rails sit slightly higher. I could not find a proper cheek weld. Good luck with everything

LowLight shoots to 800+ with a 16"

A Nightforce 2.5-10x32 in .885 rings sits perfect on the POFs.

Re: lwrc vs, pof ? please dont flame this thxs

He can answer better, but pretty sure rifle is a GAP built AR10 and scope was a 3.5.-15 NF. Think it may have something to do with the shooter. . .
