Hello gents,

I’ve recently purchased a Lynx 94 Target.

Does anyone have any experience with these rifles? I’m a Blaser R8 and Fortner action owner and fan, so took a gamble on one of these with a view to rebarreling it into an M24 contour and setting it up for various competitions.

Anyone have any experience or knowledge on the barrel tenon threads and other dimensions for a rebarrel?

Main question I have is spare magazines. I’m yet to take delivery of the rifle, so it’s something I can figure out once it’s in hand. Lynx branded mags are appearing a little inconsistent to get, so I want a back up option.

I’m starting to suspect that the Lynx may use something similar to a Sako TRG pattern magazines - but perhaps a little longer.

Can anyone confirm?

A brief update - Lynx are out of business and spare magazines are no longer available.

I’ve confirmed that the magazines are very robust, but are completely custom and were made by Lynx.

The three options for anyone that stumbles over this thread one day:

1. Custom make new magazines - far from ideal
2. Adapt a magazine of similar dimensions.
3. Restock the rifle and convert to AICS magazines, or modify the existing stock and replace its DBM to accept AICS magazines.

I’ll update on the solution, leaning towards number 3.
