M1 Garand scout

VAR barreled DANNISH Return Garand
put new wood on my Scout rifle
I used the forend that the scout mount is filling for a modified cheek piece for proper head placement

Is that the Boyds camo laminate? I've never seen one with the comb/cheek riser before.

As much of a "purist" as I am when it comes to preserving the classic battle rifles like the M1 Garand and others in their "as issued" conditions, I have to admit that one looks pretty nicely done! Enjoy her!!

Please, were did you get the stock. I have one but I bought it 20 years ago at Camp Perry and dont remember who made it.

While I dont care for a scope on a Garand that is a very ingenious of using the handguard for a cheek rest. I like the idea

shoots very well, I have used it in a 3 gun comp 3 years ago(with the Old stock), fast handling and very accurate

Thanks, I shaped it the filled the under void with bedding so it is solid
