Love my M1A Super Match. It was custom built by a buddy who built them at MTU. We poured some special burning of incense and chanting in the build.

Full blown NM M1A build, no expense spared, no tweak overlooked. Scoped it for an M21/M25ish clone. Shot like it had eyes.

Sold it because I no longer had the range to stretch its legs, and its a damn shame to keep a stick like that cooped up in the back of the safe. Current owner shoots it in service rifle competitions, and long range, and absolutely loves it.

Off of a sling, at 100 yards, with irons:

Only 5 shot groups, so sue me. The flyers were all me.

I've replaced it with an SR25. While I like the M14 platform, it just can't hold a candle to the AR/SR platforms. . . .

Re: M1A's, M21's, and M25's show em off!

looking at these pictures really makes me hate the walnut stock my M1A came with - such a lackluster finish, no patina or character.

Beautiful rifles, guys.

Re: M1A's, M21's, and M25's show em off!

Heres mine when i first got it. It has different rings, no more vertical grip, shimmed and unitized gas system, sadlak mag release and sadlak spring guide. I've been waiting for my JAE for over a year now, hopefully its coming soon.

I think I like shooting the irons more but with the rail it was asking for a scope. So i use warne quick release now so I can do both. Here it is shooting irons at 12" plate at 565yds.

Thank you to everybody who has shared their great rifle(s), these are awesome! If you have more show them off. If you are just finding this thread then share yours if you have one. I will sure be watching for more, it is neat to see how much variance in style and options there really is for the M14/M1a platform!

Just went back to iron sights after my 3rd rodeo with a scope. My 1st rifle M1A NM purchased circa 1998.

I liked the ACOG but sold it to fund a mega deal I couldn't pass on.

Knocked over a fire extinguisher at 325 yards Friday with irons, 3rd shot with crappy South African milsurp. I'm improving slowly (rarely get to shoot these days)

here's mine, started as a standard and evolved, was razzle dazzled by GAP back in the early days when G money would work on M1A's. Barrel is shot out now and havent much messed with it in a few years but it's somewhere in the dark depths of the safe
