M82A1 Serial Number Question

Hey guys,

I recently picked up a new in box M82A1 and was wondering if anyone knew at what serial number they started production. I know the M107A1's were started at AE000025. The company I bought my 82 from was selling it. (Yes, the very first one to ever leave Barrett's factory!!)

Does anyone know if the M82A1's were started at 25 too? I tried signing up for the Barrett forums, but I never received my activation email, so I figured I'd ask here.

Mine is serial number AA0002XX, so its fairly low. Would just like to know exactly what they were started at.

IIRC they were simple 4 digit serial numbers on ours issued to us back in the 90's. I don't remember any alphabetical prefix at all.
