Magazine Choices?

I’ve been out of the game for a while, but getting back in and I need a few 10 round AI pattern magazines.

I was about to buy some of the arc mags, but read about the reliability issues with the followers. Were these issues resolved? Magpul mags a good option? I guess I could just stick with the factory AI mags, but I was hoping to get something a little more compact that still fed reliably.

Any advice or input is appreciated.

The magpul won’t be more compact than an AICS but I am extremely pleased with how they feed. The polymer just seems so much less grabby than the steel mags to me.

My vote is Magpul absolutely have never had a issue when running them

I like the MDT steel mags since there 12rd isn't bigger then everyone else's 10, but if the magpul working in your setup they are hard to beat in terms of smooth feeding.

Well, I went ahead and ordered some of the magpul mags and a couple of the MDT 12 rounders.

The 12rd's might be a little stiff feeding when you first get them. I thought something was off with them but after asking around it seems the spring is pretty beefy to push all the rounds and takes a little bit to settle in

If any of you guys ever have any issues running our 12 rounders, we have included a thicker spring on the new variants to help them in dirty/inclement conditions so that we don't have any hangups. This can cause issues with other rounds (see 6mm Dasher, BR, occasionally the 6x47 and 6 CM, etc.) and I will happily send you a new spring and follower if you want to try it out!
