Magazine Feeding AI Cartridges

Hey guys,

I’m certain this has been discussed, but the threads I was able to find some info in were fairly dated. I just thought I’d ask to see if anything’s changed in 7 years.

LRI rebarreled my 338 Lapua into a 338 Lapua AI. The magazines (accurate mags) don’t seem to fit/feed the improved cartridge. Of course I can bend magazine lips, but it appears the magazine body is no longer wide enough. I have read that this is a thing in AI cartridges for some mags. So my question is:

Is Accuracy international AICS mags the best way to go for AI cartridges? If no, what magazine would you recommend?

You can mill the ribs out of the single stack mag to fit the wider AI cartridge
