I am looking for a stock for a 16" 308 AR varient I am working on and I have it narrowed down to the ACS or the EMod. I have a UBR on a different rifle but that is not an option for this rifle. Which of these two offer close to the same comfort and stability as the UBR????

Thanks!

Re: Magpul ACS or Vltor EMod

I like the Emod. The only thing the ACS has over the Emod is the profile on the bottom of the stock. The ACS can "ride" a bag a bit better than the Emod. Since I nearly never need that, I'm happy with the shape, length, cheekweld, and especially the buttpad of the Emod.

I can say that on the ACS, I like the profile of the bottom of it for prone shooting. To me, the cheekweld feels like a SOPMOD. I also like the friction lock. I can't really speak to the Vltor unit.

Re: Magpul ACS or Vltor EMod

I had an E-Mod and traded it out for the I-Mod. With the I-Mod, I have zero complaints, though it isn't going to work off bags as well as the E-Mod. My only complain with VLTOR stocks is that the joint will grab facial hair pretty badly, so you gotta break out the tape.
