Oh I have set number of rounds I like to carry in the field, in theory. Though I don't do it much ... but ~400 for 5.56 carbines ~250 for 5.56 or 6.5G rifles ... 100 for bolt guns ... though for .300WM I only have 40rds of mag capacity ... might go up to 50rds.

If I got to the point where I needed or thought I needed 100 rounds in a gunfight, I would quickly figure out I was on the wrong weapon system and grab my carbine.. or M110, or disengage with my bolt gun and DD by round 100 you are throwing as much rifling at them as bullet.. hehe
