magpul b.a.d. lever

Re: magpul b.a.d. lever

I feel like it crowds my trigger guard area, also being left handed the bad-lever isn't really beneficial to me. For righties though it does cut your reload time...but its all personal preference. Best bet is to try someone's rifle that has one equipped and see if it works for you before spending the $20 on it. Also, as a heads-up, the bad-lever's dimensions can disagree with some billet uppers on the market; so if you have a billet upper that does not explicitly state its compatible with the bad lever, ymmv.

Re: magpul b.a.d. lever

I have one installed, I like it for what it's intended purpose but since I've installed one I am now having issues with the bolt not locking open on the last round. Find out from the other forum that lever may be causing the problem and several users also have the same issue. They've suggested to trim the spring on the bolt catch assembly. I did that and will test this weekend. If it doesn't work off it goes.

Re: magpul b.a.d. lever

I have one on my LMT MRP and it works great. It works great during malfunction drills. I have not had any issues. I am not able to put one on my DPMS SASS because the upper has a cut out for the bolt release.

Re: magpul b.a.d. lever

I have a couple and love them. Only problem is if you train using it. Like you should, when you shoot a rifle without one takes a second or 2 for your brain to say dumb-ass don't use your finger, use your other hand. It really makes everything so much faster. Reloads, malfunctions are a breeze with it. Picked mine up here

Re: magpul b.a.d. lever

I run a BAD lever on my AR and love it. It's an inexpensive addition that will really help you on tactical reloads and malfunctions. Every AR I run in the future will have one.

After you have used them both please do a review on here for everyone else on what you think of the two. The Phase 5 looks pretty damn good.
