Plenty of good reviews out there. But anyone run one on their precision gun? It should work pretty good with a rear bag. Just want to see what you guys think about em. Might be cool with the LAW folding stock adapter.

Thanks

Scott

I did for a while, good cheek weld, a little heavy but shooting prone that didn't matter. I only switched because I wanted a longer length of pull.

Ever do more than prone? I do plan on getting out and doing some field shooting. differnt positions and when I Get back state side for good, Winter time to so heavy clothing.

I had one on a LMT MWS. It worked well, but was heavy and way more complex than any other collapsable carbine stock.
I switched to a ACS-L, mainly to save weight. The ACS-L has the same basic shape as the UBR, it rides a bag just as well, and is a lot lighter and cheaper.

Just an FYI but if you run it with the Law Tactical folder you'll have to dremel some of the stock. I'm not sure if that's still the case with the newer version, but I would go on the assumption it is. I run the UBR on my SBR and I like the weight because it balances it nicely with my can. Running it with a bag though I find it gets a little more difficult on the 30rd magazines because of the height issue if you're using a smaller bag.

I use it on my 3g... only becoz looks nice :) but it it more on litle to heavy side

Okay, OP...

You said "Precision Gun".

To me that means a minimum of 20" with a pref towards 24" in bull barrel. Any person that would say
that the UBR was too heavy or out of balance is not talking of a precision rig as I stated as I understand it.

The UBR is probably the best stock for a precision AR rig, both small and large frame, to come down the pike. The PRS is "mostly" for
those with an esoteric human body or of a chosen scope mount. Yeah, I own one PRS that's never been installed,
but the two (2) UBR stocks have never failed me on precision ARs in .223/5.56 or the .308 family.

Hell, it's the perfect stock for the 458 SOCOM with a 16" PacNor piece of pipe.

Sweet. Not really worried about weight. Unless it some how weighs more than a SAW.

Best stock I have ever used IMO. It is heavier than most but I shoot mostly prone so it does not matter. I had an ACS but could not get a proper, comfortable cheek weld at my length of pull setting. The UBR provides a more stable surface regardless of the stock position selected. It is really nice.

Good luck,

MY bad. Should of made that clear. Precision to me, is anything that fills a more precision role. mk12's, SDMR's.

I agree

The UBR is a great stock if it fits you. I have one that I just couldn't get comfortable behind on a AR15 frame due to the shorter LOP, but it's good on the large frame with an extension butt pad. Run lower rings for proper stock weld and they're awesome.

That's the shortest I'll go.

It comes down to the barrel itself rifling, twist, crown, chambering, etc. really more than the length. I know guys with 24" bull barrels that are 1 MOA at best and yet I've seen an 18" barrel ringing a 66% IPSC at 905yds with 77gr SMK.

I have run a UBR on my 15 with an 18" barrel for 4 years now and absolutely love it for barricade, positional and prone. It locks up tight and has been super solid. The extra weight balances the rifle out nicely.

I know who you are and wasn't questioning your knowledge but more or less clarifying what I'm sure you meant to say, lol...
