Suppressors Making monocore .22LR suppressor into integral ???

I have an extra SiCo Sparrow (monocore would be the only way this would work) and was wondering...

Could I chop a bolt action .22 bbl. to 12" and silver solder (or pin/weld) the 5" long suppressor to the barrel and be legal?

No SBR?

Would this change the NFA status of my suppressor?

Any notification to NFA required?

You can.
If the can is permanently attached to the barrel and it is over 16” the rifle will not be subject to NFA.
It will not affect the NFA status of your can and there is no need to inform NFA Branch.

I have a SS Sparrow. My question is, how do you plan to clean the suppressor once it’s attached to the barrel?

Why not just SBR the rifle?

The tax is probably not much more than the cost to pin and weld the can.

2 questions...

How does anyone with an integral suppressor clean it? The bbl diameter is small and easily removed, so the outer sleeve would slide off backwards over the bbl.

Obviously, I would have to remove the bbl from the action before cutting it down (or it would temporarily be an illegal SBR before the suppressor was perm. attached)...BUT would a class 3 manufacturer have to do the work...would it be "modifying or repairing a suppressor"??

I could easily do all the work myself, but I don't know of the legalities.
