A no knock warrant for a weed eater? WTF
So swift that they'll kill your neighbor for it
much more serious crime than raping an 8 yo girl
So they decided to do a late no-knock night raid over a weed eater because hey why not be all extra thuggish and kick in doors in the middle of the night.
And apparently they aren't sure they even were at the right house...
These Uniform Hangers are totally out of control and need to one day be made to face the same horrors that they inflict on others.

middle of night no knock? hard for me to see justification for that ever. known dangerous bad guy? bring in big deal SWAT and get the gas ready.
seems to me any no knock mid night will = shooting incident. has several times in past. what do you do if somebody bashes in your door in mid of nite? you start shooting. cops respond and kill you per plan they always seem to have. plus they are frequently too stupid to even get the right house. that is not uncommon even with feds.

On a positive note, several police have gone to prison for murder in similar circumstances.
In most of these cases the police could have easily and peacefully confronted the person they wanted at a normal reasonable hour of the day somewhere along the way on the street or at the office or any one of a number of places they normally go, or given them notice to get a lawyer and come down to the police station. Or any number of things.
Instead the Uniform Hangers seem to pretty much all have this raging boner to get out their fantasies of being some kind of special military unit and go all full on Storm Trooper for any excuse they can. It's almost like so many of them are itching to brutalize and murder citizens that they can't think of anything else to do but these kind of vile things.
Perhaps we should make No Knock warrants illegal.
Perhaps we should make it so that the police MUST try and prove to have tried to peacefully make contact with the party of interest.
Perhaps we need to start sending police to jail automatically, including their higher ups if they violated those two things unless it was in a circumstance that they had 100% knowledge that there was some active situation that couldn't be stopped any other way.
If it turns out they SWATTED some innocent person, they also go straight to jail.

The Houston vice squad killing of Dennis Tuddle and his wife was finally addressed ,Gerald Goines, got some prison time, 5years after he lied about the couple to get a noknock warrant, the wheels of justice sure turns slow when a cop is involved.

They apparently didn't read the "eater" part of weedeater. They stopped at "weed" and suited right up.
I think we can all agree that if he had in fact had weed, he got what he deserved. Weed is basically a deadly weapon, worse than a gun muffler.

I know they are hiring the bottom of the barrel- drug use gang affiliated ect but can’t they have one guy just one that can read and match numbers to ENSURE at least the address is correct and on the correct house before flash bang mag dump? Just one guy ?

Actually it sounds like it was a no knock no warrant. Nobody has actually seen the warrant yet. Kind of like Bryan Malinkowski's warrant.

Middle of the night no knock warrants should be outlawed especially for low level shit. There will always be a time and place to confront someone when they go to and from their home eventually no need to bust down doors in the middle of the night.

Te entire premise behind a late night “no-knock” raid is to maintain the tactical advantage of surprise. The late timing element further potentially assists in disorienting a target who may be dangerous. However, the use of that tactic is situational, that is, dependent on other options and risks. Exempli gratia, if you know Bubba usually grabs a six-pack every day after work and you can catch him in the parking lot with no collateral danger to civilians, then maybe that’s a better idea. I won’t second guess anyone because perhaps the perp wasn’t just an evil criminal genius weedwhacker mastermind. He may also have a nice long rap sheet and a penchant for violence. But in my opinion this tactic is way overused and likely to eventually backfire as civilian land calls (again) for the dismantling of local SWAT teams. YMMV.
The problem arises when they go to the wrong house in the middle of the night to an armed law abiding citizen. The law abiding citizens hears some one break down the door so he grabs his gun and then the cops shoot him and then use the excuse that the home owner pointed a gun at the cops

It may also involve a mock or practice walkthrough that includes what the entry point looks like and other distinguishing features. Time could be an element that limits some of this. However if you’ve done none of this you’re not only an idiot, you’re incompetent and Burger King is hiring fry cooks.
correct in a way. there is a need for SWAT. ie if it is not used as an execution tool by the political elites. LOL on that. the no knock has resulted in several killings of totally innocent people. a lot of stupid as well as over excitable cops. if you got a known violent perp,no knock and usually no warrant,still has no real purpose except to make cops feel bad ass. in a detached home can be surrounded. tear gas works quite well. in a crowded apt complex same,time,patience maybe judicious sniper use depending. a no knock at 2am at the your (the wrong place) house would get most guys on here killed. of course that might make the feds happy.

Maybe I missed it, but has it actually been stated that this was a no-knock warrant, anywhere other than SH comments here? The video didn’t say that, unless I missed it. Seems like everyone here is just running along with the first guy to say it.
Obviously, if it was, I’m in agreement that this shouldn’t be a no-knock warrant scenario. The guy had zero criminal history sans traffic, and the search warrant was, I assume, related to an apparently non-violent offense. I can’t imagine a violent crime in which a weed whacker would be the weapon. Sounds like a huge clusterfuck regardless, with the radio traffic recordings indicating the search warrant was for a different address.
Our local health department showed up at my PD a few weeks ago with a search warrant for an address that may or may not have been correct, asking that we provide security while they executed the warrant. The listed address on the warrant matched the property number on our county’s GIS, but not the visibly posted number at the front of the property, City permit applications/water billing, or the USPS delivery address. With so much contradictory proof of address, I ended up telling them to pound sand until they got the discrepancies figured out, or to execute it without us. They protested for a while, until I explained they were relying the accuracy of one computer geek inputing the address in the GIS system to keep them from being the defendant in a 1983 suit, and if they were wrong I would gladly testify that they were warned against it. Needless to say, they called it an early day and I went back to work.
Our search warrants always list the address, GIS parcel number, and a detailed physical description of the property and all included structures to be searched. Prior to service execution, we hold a briefing with all officers involved in the service in ANY capacity attending. If you don’t attend the briefing, you’re not coming with. We include GoogleMaps street-view photos of the property (if we don’t have current pre-surveillance photos, which I make a point to get ahead of time if possible), criminal history and DL photos of all known occupants, and an approach route map for every officer in attendance to take with them. There’s more, but those are the most relevant contents of the briefing to this situation.
If you follow some basic precautionary steps, you’ll be right 100% of the time. In my career, I’ve never seen a mistake like above. It boggles the mind how anyone could serve a warrant at the wrong address in our current technologically documented world.
