Here is, what I consider management, axis buck I took this summer.
He has nice main beams but his fronts, caudals, and spread and below trophy quality.
My wife said she had to have an axis skin rug for the nursery and our freezer was getting low, so she put in the order and this guy fit the bill perfectly.
I had seen him several times and wanted a good friend of mine to take him but he never presented him a shot, after 9 hunts of spot and stalk, glassed from "mountian tops", ambush style, long range style you name it we got nothing....
then driving around bs'ing and filling feeders he popped out at 200ish and i put him down out the window of the truck...... what a great story :confused2:
any way here he is, with 33.5" and 32.5" beams 18" spread 5.5" on base measurements and 4" on beam measurements the others are not worth mentioning
