Manners stock order mess

Have a stiller TAC 30 action and Lilja barrel waiting on a stock. Ordered a Manners TA in April that was due this month. Called to check on the stock to find out the order has been lost. Looks like I am back in line for another six months. Any other suggestions?


Update:

After discussions with Manners it looks like the gunsmith dropped the ball and never got an order confirmation from Manners. Sorry for any bad press this has caused. Tom Manners is a class act.

Manners is a reputable business. Talk to them, I believe they will listen. I know Manners does not want an unhappy customer. That's the foundation of their business.
 
Yes, I would definitely talk to Tom. I have ordered 4 Manners stocks and have had great service on all occasions, on top of a great product. Tom is very involved at Manners and runs that business, like all business owners should operate. He believes in making the best product, that he can ship to his customers in a timely fashion. Plus he has a good crew that makes everything click. Actually, at the time of your order you should have received an email confirming your order with an order # and the specs. Hope everything works out well.
 
Tom gave me his cell number and called me late at night to work on an issue I had with a stock this spring, and I had bought it from Stocky's. I'm sure he will do whatever is necessary to fix the problem.
 
Couldn't reach Tom today, I think he was tied up with moving the shop. Did get to talk with Christie who was a lot of help. Don't know when I will get it yet, but sounds like less than six months.
 
Christie wrote me to say my EH-2 should ship next week. I'm going to drop in a surgeon 1086 and Bartlien barrel for my 1st true Elk rifle in 300 WM! I noticed they have more than usual stocks ready to ship upon order. I bet they built a few ahead of the move Silverjay mentioned?

Hey Silverjay, Send me a pm with your order details, I will see what happened. I know the office staff had said a person was looking for a tac30 TA yesterday that his gunsmith was supposed to have ordered for him. When ever there is a new order placed you or your gunsmith should have gotten a confirmation email with all the specs and a build number. Once we get a confirmation email back that order goes into production. Did the office staff tell you that it would be a additional 6 months? Get me the details and I will get one pushed through for you ASAP. Thank you

Tom is great. Just got off the phone with him. Starting to look like the ball got dropped on the order, not on Manners end. Even looking that way Tom is fixing it! I don't think I have ever seen service this good.

Talked with the gunsmith and found out he did not ever get an email or confirmation number. No stock was ever actually ordered in April. Problem is definitely not on Manners end and they have been amazing to work with.
 
Tom always bends over backwards for the sport. You can see that in the customer service and again with his actual support of matches either by sponsoring with items or his time RO'ing.
