what is the difference in Gen1 and Gen2 chassis?

A little mag well protection.

This stock had the barricade mount too. Gen1 would look all flat, except the mag hanging out.

Probably the most important change to me is the tang area of the bedding block,it was changed for better action interface.

It's an Area 419 adapter to replace the barricade block, and it sits proud for clearance.

Good to know. Do you still prefer it over an alternate way to mount the rifle to a tripod that would eliminate the spacer?

I just sold the stock in the PX last week, LoL, moved onto MPA chassis a while ago, using full length arca rails now. Stocks have evolved in crazy ways!

Not really unless you want the more streamline look. Both work equally well. I have stocks with both.
