MANNLICHER PRO- HUNTER

Re: MANNLICHER PRO- HUNTER

I had one in .376 Steyr a few years ago. I was not thrilled with action and working the bolt. It just wasn't as smooth as I would have liked it. Not sure if it has changed any since then but that was my only complaint.

Re: MANNLICHER PRO- HUNTER

I had a older Steyr Mod M Professional and I got my wife a Pro-hunter 308 a year or two ago. Both of the guns shoot extremely well. For factory rifles they are fine guns.

Re: MANNLICHER PRO- HUNTER

I like the Steyr Pro-Hunter. I have shot several from 223 through the 376 Steyr and all were excellent shooters.

HOWEVER...$899 is NOT a good price for one. Check with CDNN if you are interested. I got my last one from there some time ago, but their prices are excellent. Looks like they have standard Pro-Hunters for $649 blued/$699 Stainless and the Pro-Hunter Mountain rifles (shorter bbl, lighter weight) for the same prices according to finish. Even with S&H and transfer fees, you will come out MUCH better than $899. More money for mags, scope mounts/rings, ammo, etc.

Re: MANNLICHER PRO- HUNTER

It would take one hell of a chunk of Cash to get my 30-06 Pro Hunter away from me! Best Deer gun i have ever owned!!

The only complaint i have with the gun is the Finish sucks!! If you think about going hunting in the rain it will rust. I had mine cerakoted and it is ready to role now!

Re: MANNLICHER PRO- HUNTER

The Pro Hunter is an exceptional rifle. I have a 300 Win Mag with a NF scope. It cuts paper at 200 easy(The longest range I have had it on). Also the recoil is very little. I am a small guy and am pretty recoil sensitive, I can shoot mine without a brake no problem. I like being able to shoot without a brake when I am hunting (Hate to put in earplugs for those quick shots)....
