My heart just aches for that dog as well as his family. Dogs know much more than many people think they do.

The Akita that waited at the station for his deceased master to return...for years
Greyfriars Bobby
Delta (From Mt. Vesuvius)
Balto and Togo (Pulled the original Iditarod sled)
and now this dog.

Many dogs have done similar things simply because they DO know.
