Does seem a bit of hype but I had one and put several hundred rounds through it w/o a problem. They will tear up some shit for sure, especially the armor piercing incendiary rounds.

My only fear was that Id forget to put both pins back in securing the barrel assembly to the receiver. Barrett calls that a "Catastrophic failure."
