Picked this beaut up the other day! Still have to finish the stock and bed it but excited to get some rounds through her. Any suggestions on glass? Trying to keep it as light as possible and have some long range zing. 6.5 lbs or so as it sits. So far looking at a Mark 5hd 5-25 or a NX8 4-32

What ammo will you shoot and where are you getting it?

Right now I only have 1 box of the 127 tsx and that will be just for barre break in. I’ll be shooting 140 pills out of it. Hopefully I can find some powder and primers before season!

Factory 127 mid-barrel break in. Shows some promise! Need to work on a handload and get something a little more better than a 3-9 VX1 and $20 rings

Why this cartridge there are other 6.5’s that I find are superior in all ways it’s up to you of course I am just curious as to why this one?

Magnum performance in a standard action. Standard action is lighter weight than a magnum. This round is also a touch faster than a prc

Glass showed up. Got a killer deal on a 4-32 NX8

I'm shooting the 124 hammer hunter in mine with RL25 and it gets real close to 3300 fps. Mine is the mark five weathermark LT. The 127 lrx shot the best of the factory ammo. My wife killed a nice mulie with it and the Barnes, I killed a bull elk with the 140 accubonds. Pretty sweet round

I got some 123 ELDs to test out with US869. About the only thing I could find locally for it. I killed a couple muleys and antelope with the 73 grain flavor in a 5.56 zero complaints. These should get me by for the season then next year I’ll get real serious on a 140 ABLR load.
