I hope this is the best place to list this. I am new to shooting and would like to start with a solid foundation. Could someone recommend a really good instructor or place to get basic marksmanship lessons? Thanks for your help.

Accuracy 1st runs classes in the Austin area. You'll be hard pressed to find better in the confines of Austin.

+1 on Accuracy 1st. I went out to Austin (actually Lampassas area) for the first course they did for civilians and it was a GREAT course. I'd recommend staying on-site as well if they have room, because even living in Austin it would be a bitch of a drive up to the facility early in the morning and late at night on the way home.
