After working on a bunch of other rifles in the safe, I took out the old Marlin that the wife bought me for $75 at a gargae sale when we first started dating. I am now in the process of trying to make it as sweet of shooter as any one of my other rifles. It will be a gift hopefully by Christmas time for the wife... The stock is in decent condition as is, but I was wondering if there wasn't a better aftermarket stock out there. I tried searching on here and google, and didn't have any luck.

As far as stocks go I would love if it fit into one of the Boyd's Tacticool stocks but don't know if the model 60 is similar to any of the other rifles Marlin has made over the years. Any advice or stock options would be greatly appreciated!!

Well if it was mine and I wanted to give it the tacticool look I'd sand it all down and apply either minwax wood hardner or the really runny super glue (best purchased at hobby shops)with a cheap disposable brush after thats dry sand it smooth again and apply a coat of sandable primer sand smooth again and paint with a semi flat black krylon . then mask off around the grip and forend and give it some texture with some spray on truck bedliner . If you want to bed it do that first, JB weld works pretty good on a .22. For about 25 bucks you can have a good looking stock and the pride of knowing you did it yourself.
