Mask Mandates are about advancing facial recognition and AI

You may want to double check your sources on that one. Not saying that any given AI/machine learning algorithm couldn’t do better after training with an inferior data set, but that is not the norm and results would be suspect at best.

Good data, like most things, are susceptible to garbage in/garbage out. Masks create more nose and pose greater challenges in general making AI/machine learning harder as there are less features to base statistical similarities on. Take it or leave it.

FWIW I remember reading some shit about the CCP facial recog system and that it really needed only to use the upper part of the face. This was before Rona and I swear to shit I was wondering if they took advantage of their SARS mask bullshit to help the recog programs hone in on that shit automatically. I dunno fuck all about AI though.

Old news from about 5 years ago or so. And if you can't use a face you can always use the ear... Most people don't cover it up
This is why they were so upset about the neck gaiters. They cover too much so there's no other key facial features to id with. Also heard that's why they pushed the social dustancing thing so much. The ai cameras must not do well with crowds.

It's all about pattern denial and pattern disruption.

All machine vision, and that's what facial recognition is, still works on the principle of pattern recognition and matching.
Yep. And now, throw in kinematic pattern recognition (how you walk, tilt your head, shake hands, shrug your shoulders), and well...even a partial face can be nailed down fairly quickly if you have right training data....

It doesn't even have to be a full face prosthetic. Just enough of them to alter some of your facial features.

Hi,

Concerned with facial recognition yet people are walking around with their personal tracking beacon aka cellphone looking like this, lolol

Even the dumbest .gov uav can locate and track you, detect and record you via capture of your IMSI, IMEI, TMSI, etc etc.

good thing I make my women wear the proper attire when out in public. No facial recognition here

Was in a government building picking up plans for a project , walking down a long hall to leave when one of these terrorist turns the corner walking towards me. First thought in my head ... Motherfucker I'm dead .... very eerie feeling as we passed in the hall and she had her eyes covered not like the one in this photo.

What makes you think it was a female?

So what does this marvelous technology do when tracking people that are identical twins in separate places? A person cannot be in two places at the same time. That's got to cause a hiccup in the system.

Hi,

Doesn't even skip a beat.....different gaits, different arm swings, different strides, different foot placement angles, different posture, etc etc

Sincerely,
Theis

This ^^^^

As an identical twin, I can tell you, kinematically, my brother and I are totally different. Even with 99.95% of the same DNA, environmental effects dictate different kinematics based on growth of limbs, joints, injuries, etc....
