Precision Rifle Gear Match Day Load Out - 10 lbs. in a 5 lb. bag?

Sorry fellow members if I have posted this in the wrong place. It is my first post outside of the PX.

I have what I believe is the completed gear load out for a 1 or 2 day match. Please critic it if I have missed or overdone anything. No thin skin here. Trying to get as much as I can right(gear wise) on day 1.

I'd say you have the basics covered. I also feel after your first match you won't bring all that.

Canvas wax can stay at home. Tripod just put what legs you want to rock on it. I wouldn't bring spares. Round bottoms work pretty much everywhere. Trigger weight scale can stay at home.

Bring more dope cards. Like paper ones or use marker on painters tape and peel new ones every stage.

Shooting mat doesn't hurt to have with in the vehicle. Most stages should be set up how you shoot it. Can come in handy though. I now bring my own 10x10 ez up to use when convenient.

Is this your first match? A 2 day match is a whole different thread I feel. The load out and ancillary equipment is much more extensive.

Great advice!
I hope to shoot a couple of 1 days and a couple of 2 days this year. One of the 2 days being the Gap Grind for the experience and training. SO I have zero idea of what else may be needed for the 2 days at that level.

A lot of this you're going to have to figure out yourself but this is what I'd do/have done.

Ditch:
2, 5, 6, 9, 10, 12, and 16.

Throw the schmedium on the tripod plate and it works pretty well to steady the binos and the LRF. Most of us have found out that we can get by pretty well with just a couple bags mainly a general purpose bag like the schmedium and a pillow bag for stuffing in open space doing positional work.

Reduce 17, 18, and 20 into one small maintenance kit somewhere about the size of a one quart bag. Same for 38, that can be reduced down to a simple boo boo kit with some band aids and ibuprofen.

In my experience these matches are basically shot on golf courses, a lot of this stuff can live in your vehicle so the need to pack it around all day is usually unnecessary but it depends on the venue. A big component to these matches to be successful and to have fun is time and gear management. It's something you develop from experience but the more stuff you have, the more you have to manage, it takes more time, suddenly omg they called my name, now you're stressing out, and you have less fun. Less gear, less to manage, more efficient = more fun.
