Gents...I can use some direction for my purchase of a Match Grade 22LR Fully Operational AR-15 Practice Weapon. I would like to purchase a quality weapon that operates exactly as my 5.56 AR and most importantly is accurate! Is a gas operated 22LR even an option, and if not, is there a "blow-back" system with the same breach, bolt, charger operation as me 5.56 AR? Your assistance will be appreciated as this gun will replicate my 5.56AR for practice purposes.

I have a detailed review of the JPNC22 with different ammo at different ranges
bottom line is no semi-auto AR rifle will be as accurate as a bolt action but the JP/Nordic AR22 is the best made out of the box 22 out there
I have to agree with that quote. However, it really depends on your concept of accurate and "Match Grade". If 1-1.5moa is accurate enough you should be able to find a good upper or a complete rifle to serve as a trainer. I love to shoot 22's but I am not sold on the 22 at a substitute for range time with a real centerfire rifle. It might enable you to practice fundamentals but could also develop bad habits if you do not pay attention.

So we all know the 22LR has a waxy lube... love to gunk up gas ports and such...
The 22LR does not have enough gas to cycle any AR system.
Ciener use to make a great kit.. it simply replaced the bolt...
One could go cheap and buy an old military used upper in a 1/12, 1/14 or slower twist...
I would suggest a dedicated upper for 22LR with the conversion kit... let the 22 upper get dirty and clog the gas tube and then switch back to your normal set up for other use....
I think the most common 22LR twist rate is 1/16". The Heavy subsonic seems to like 1/10" or so....
Maybe copper clad 22 match would hold up to the 1/7 -1/9 twist in many AR barrels...
Without a jacket, the lead might deform in flight and cause accuracy to go the hell

Get a Compass Lake Engineering (CLE) Upper and you will be very happy. They are extremely accurate and dependable. I use Wolf Match ammo and it is accurate and functions perfectly. CLE also makes complete rifles and their trigger is sweet. They are not inexpensive but you pay for what you get. Good Luck
